I said it. I said I could wait for this baby until after Mother's day so I could hear Nate talk in church. That may have been all it took for baby Hugh to decide to hunker down and stay there for the long haul. BUT today I've had it. I've puked enough. I've had enough sleepless nights and sleepy days. The heartburn/nausea/hunger combination is old. My maternity clothes all have stains on my "belly shelf". My leg giving out on me mid stride is no longer funny. Even though Nate's never said anything, I'm pretty sure he is restraining himself from rolling his eyes every time I ask him to rub my lower back...and yes it's several times a day. I'm afraid of the water bill we're going to have from the city because It makes me feel so much better to have a hot bath in the big jetted tub. I'm ready. I'm more than ready. Laundry is done, cradle set up, bottles washed, wipes and diapers on standby. So if a giant piece of humble pie is what it's going to take, serve it up. C'mon Hugh! Let's get this show on the road!!
I ended up borrowing one of those electric hand-held massagers from a friend just to preserve my marriage. :) Sad thing is I can't hardly reach all the way around to get the right spot - and I have until August... Hang in there!
